LGBTQ

The term "LGBTQ" originated in the 1990s as an abbreviation to refer to what was formerly called "the gay community." This term entered popular usage because it is more inclusive. LGBTQ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer identities and individuals. Sexual identity and sexuality have emerged in public conscious. This has led to improvements in the health of gay, lesbian, and transgendered communities in not just the United States but the entire world.
